Remote MySQL access is not available on most shared web hosting accounts.
For security and server stability, we do not allow direct remote MySQL connections in shared hosting environments. Opening remote database access on a shared server can create security risks and increase server load for other customers.
If you are using a VPS or dedicated server, remote MySQL access can usually be configured. This typically requires updating the firewall, allowing the remote IP address, and adjusting the server or cPanel settings to permit remote database connections.
If you need remote MySQL access, please open a support ticket and let us know what type of hosting account you have. If you are on a VPS or dedicated server, we’ll be happy to help you review the setup options.
