If a feature such as a blog, contact form, online store, gallery, or other website functionality appears to be missing, there are several possible causes.
A Plugin May Have Been Disabled
Many WordPress features rely on plugins. If a plugin has been deactivated, updated incorrectly, or removed, the associated functionality may disappear from your website.
To check:
-
Log in to WordPress.
-
Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
-
Verify that the required plugin is installed and activated.
A Page Element May Have Been Removed
If you're using the WordPress Block Editor or a page builder, a section may have been accidentally deleted while editing a page.
Try:
-
Reviewing recent page revisions
-
Checking the page in edit mode
-
Restoring a previous revision if needed
Theme or Plugin Updates
Occasionally, updates can affect how content is displayed. Verify that your theme and plugins are up to date and compatible with your current version of WordPress.
The Feature May Need to Be Added Again
If a widget, block, shortcode, form, or store section was removed, you can usually add it back by editing the page and inserting the appropriate block, shortcode, or plugin element.
Restore from Backup
If the feature was accidentally removed and cannot be easily recreated, you may be able to restore a previous version of the page or website from a backup.
