1. Brute force attacks on Wordpress pages are getting more and more common, to make sure your Wordpress is secured we highly recommend adding this plugin:
Go to Plugins › Add New
Search for brute force login protection
Look for this plugin, download and activate it

2. If you want to take things further you can change the log in page name like this:
Go to Plugins › Add New
Search for Rename wp-login.php
Look for this plugin, download and activate it
The page will redirect you to the settings. Rename wp-login.php there
You can change this option any time you want, just go back to Settings › Permalinks › Rename wp-login.php
